ENTRYWAY REMODEL-WEEK 6 THE REVEAL!!!

The entryway is finished and I cannot tell you how excited I am! It was a challenge while also working full-time. There were many days that I did not want to dive into it after putting in a full day of work, not to mention getting home when it’s dark doesn’t do much for motivation.

If you missed the past weeks you can catch up here

Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3| Week 4| Week 5

Here is what I started with…..

As I mentioned in a previous post our entryway is teeny tiny!! Painting it white and accenting with warm tones really opened it up. It no longer looks or feels depressing. I also added Board and Batten which you can see how I installed and spaced in previous posts.

I have been asked if I will remove the shiplap on the lower stair wall and install B&B. At some point, yes! but for now, I’m loving the look of both.

The color is Sherwin Williams High Reflective White. I went with this color as other popular whites/creams took on a yellow hue since the entry does not receive a lot of natural light. I also used this same color in our powder room on the Tongue and Groove. I would NOT RECOMMEND this color as a good all over white if your home receives a fair amount of light because it can be blinding (I tested it out in my family room and went with SW Alabaster instead)

DIY Wall Ladder Tutorial.

All and all I am extremely happy with the results. This was a lot more involved than when I did a similar Board and Batten technique in my family room that was completed in a weekend.
